Happily Ever After is a collection of illustrations that twist the traditional representation of Disney Princesses. The series incorporates my personal motivations of challenging conformist and conventional aesthetic standards which are recognised in the traditional Chinese culture. Besides, the aesthetics embedded in the images defy the traditional values imposed by the patriarchal society, which more often appreciates a modest and tamed character.
